The church has two thriving contemporary worship services and is in need of strong leadership of the worship ministry team. Stylistically, they are playing artists like Crowder, Tomlin, Redman, Brewster, Smith, etc. and really love the congregation to "get into" worship. A worship leader who can teach folks how to "worship" is a must!

POSITION TITLE: Director of Contemporary Worship
LOCATION: Cincinnati, OH
SALARY RANGE: COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE
JOB DESCRIPTION / DUTIES:
Function
· The Director of Contemporary worship serves as the primary worship leader of each of the contemporary worship services
Reporting structure
· The Director of Contemporary Worship reports to the Senior Pastor
Responsibilities
· Serves as principal music/worship leader at the 9:30 and 11:00 contemporary services and special other worship events
· Plans all musical selections for the contemporary worship services in consultation with the design teams
· Recruits, trains and develops the bands through vocal training, instrumental training, and performance training
· Develops the spiritual lives of the musicians
· Leads rehearsal times with the bands in preparation for the weekend and other special worship experiences
· Supervises Jam for the Lamb youth Band (self-sufficient)
· Responsible for the audio, video, and lighting equipment used in contemporary worship; and the training, and scheduling of lay volunteers who run the equipment
· Responsible for the technology equipment that is used in contemporary worship; and the training and scheduling of lay volunteers who run the equipment
· Supervises drama team
· Plans for the utilizing of visual arts, drama, and other creative media
· Attend weekly staff meetings
· Leads weekly design team meetings
· Consult with and respond to groups requesting media and sound support

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
· Gifted in a visible and demonstrative way as a worship leader and soloist. Must be able to design and execute high energy contemporary Christian worship with a creative team that includes the pastors
· Organizational and leadership skills which are apparent and consistent
· Ability to read, write, chart and direct music for others. Music degree helpful but not essential
· Highly developed skills as a guitarist or key board. Able to play and incorporate a variety of musical styles into worship
· Basic knowledge of sund, video and lighting. Acquainted with and proficiency in media creation, editing, and presentation software
· Ability to lead a rehearsal, train support staff, and develop teams for music, vocals, drama, and audio visual ministry
· Excellent people skills, including the ability to invest in good relationships with staff and the church community
· Willingness to be a lifelong learner and attend continuing education events
· Commitment to Christ and the local church. Strong spiritual life
