Job Description:
Pomona First Baptist Church is currently looking for a Pastor of Senior Adults and Care Ministries. The position entails providing leadership to a thriving Senior Adult Ministry and providing Care Ministries to the congregation. There are also opportunities for leadership development, Bible teaching, and ministry development. Pomona First Baptist Church is a growing 5000 member regional church with a diverse membership (multi-generational, multi-cultural, multiple worship styles)located in Southern California. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
-Develop multi-faceted ministries to reach, connect and mobilize active experienced adults (single and married, empty nesters, pre-retired and newly retired--targeting ages 55-75).
-Develop multi-faceted ministries that effectively provide evangelism, fellowship and care for older less active Senior Adults (Targeting ages 75+).
-Mobilize teams to provide quality Care Ministries Including hospital visitation, shut-ins, bereavement, telecare, health and financial assistance.
-Work with Adult Ministries Pastor to oversee aspects of the ministry of the Deacons that have to do with congregational care.

QUALIFICATIONS:
-Have a love for and experience with Senior Adults and Care ministries.
-Have a vision for a comprehensive ministry of evangelism, care, discipleship and mobilization for ministry.
-Demonstrate a commitment to the statement of faith of Pomona First Baptist and become a member of the church as soon as possible after joining the staff.
-College or Graduate degree in ministry or theology or comparable training.
