Job Description:

General:
To effectively reach out to young adults (18 – 35 years of age) in our sphere of influence and to provide program and ministry opportunities for this age group
To develop college and young adult ministry leaders including possible future directors of those ministries
To provide Pastoral ministry and leadership as assigned

Responsibilities:
Develop and grow college age ministries that develop a sense of community where they feel appreciated and valued, are challenged in their faith, allowing them to evaluate their own life so as to shape who they are in Christ under the authority of Scripture.
Develop a venue that provides the opportunity to be real, and to participate in hands on ministry.
Teach biblically with substance, reflect a grasp of current culture, and provide material that can be applied immediately.
Plan and direct with MAT (Mission Action Team) mission experiences that include opportunities for young adults
Develop and direct ministries and activities for post-college age young adults
With other leaders, strategize and evaluate the need for a worship service that specifically appeals to college age and young adults
Provide leadership in FPC worship services
Various other pastoral duties including:
Supervise Student Ministries Directors (Junior High and Senior High)
Preach 4 to 5 times per year
Attend Presbytery meetings
Provide staff support to the Mission Action Team
Assist with serving communion monthly

Requirements:
M. Div degree or be close to completion of the M Div degree
Qualify to be ordained in the EPC
