Job Description:

The Choir Director is responsible for leading and shepherding choir members at Grace Community Church in preparation for monthly performance in weekend services. The Choir Director will teach vocal technique, vocal parts, research and select choir music, arrange parts, coordinate with Worship Director to select worship songs, and recruit and lead rehearsals.

In addition, the Choir Director will plan and implement an annual choir launch, recruit and lead key volunteers, and coordinate a system of care and shepherding for choir members.

This position is currently a half time role at Grace Community Church, but has potential to move to a three quarter time or full time position down the road if an additional worship venue is developed at Grace.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Music, 2-5 years of progessively responsible music leadership experience, proven experience in teaching vocal technique, leading a church choir, shepherding and leading volunteers, choral & ensemble arrangement and conducting.
