Student Ministries Pastor

LakeView Church in southern Wisconsin is looking for a full-time addition to our pastoral team in the area of student ministries.

Located in Stoughton, a Norwegian bed-sit community 13-miles south of Madison, LakeView is an Evangelical Free Church whose mission is “leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.” Our desire is to articulate the truth of the Gospel in a relevant and engaging way, and to grow people into maturity in the Faith through our different ministries as they each align around this common mission.

Our Sunday morning church attendance ranges between 500-600 and consists of contemporary worship, drama, multi-media and teaching for today from God’s Word. In addition to a strong emphasis on meeting God powerfully in our Sunday morning worship setting, we have dynamic children’s and student environments at various times during the week. Over 100 students (6th-12th grade) meet weekly to reach their friends for Christ and to grow in their relationship with Jesus and other students in community.

The purpose of the Student Ministries Pastor is to give leadership and oversight to all areas of Student Ministries; seeking to lead students into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. The WIN of Ground Zero Student Ministries is to create opportunities for students to IMPACT other students on their spiritual journey. To reach our WIN we will provide culturally relevant steps through which every student will experience the Gospel and have the opportunity for spiritual growth.

Applicants for this full-time pastoral position should have:
• A heart to honor God above all and to lead people into deeper worship and knowledge of Him
• A high commitment to team ministry, relationships, and to having fun along the way
• Strong skills in leadership and team building/discipling of volunteer teams
• Strong skills in relating with students and parents, particularly those necessary for overseeing and developing student to reach students for Christ.
• Preferred Education: theological degree such as B.S. is Biblical Studies or Youth and Ministry, M.A. Biblical Studies, M.Div. or Th.M.
• Preferred Experience: three-plus years of ministry
