Job Description:
Shelbyville Community Church, a healthy, growing church of around 800 seeks a Pastor of Ministry Connections. He will be responsible to connect people to one another through small groups and to ministry opportunities that fit their unique S.H.A.P.E. Our Connections Pastor will serve as part of the management team and provide overall leadership for all of our connections ministries. Responsibilities include: 1) Small groups leadership recruiting, development, and multiplication. 2) Preaching/teaching team responsibilities. 3) Oversight of local church outreach and "servant evangelism". 4) Equipping people for ministry [familiarity with Saddleback's Base Model a prerequisite]. 5) Oversight of age-stage ministries/staff. The ideal candidate will be a sold-out servant, a team builder, and have demonstrated experience in a reproducing small group system. Seminary education and 3-5 years experience in a church of at least 500 is also desired.
