Job Description:

First Baptist Church is a non-denominational church located in downtown Modesto. We have four separate worship services of various worship styles. The Modesto area is home to around 300,000 residents including a Junior College of 20,000 students and a California State University of 8,000 students.

We are looking for a dynamic communicator and strong team builder with a track record and ability to develop healthy ministries with future vision and outward focus. This person will oversee two vibrant ministries at the church.

1) Lead and shepherd the College Ministry
-Serve as the primary vision caster/teacher
-Recruit, build, lead, shepherd, train and equip a leadership team to work with college age students
-Develop and implement strategies to reach unchurched college students in the greater Modesto area

2) Lead and shepherd the Young Married/Young Families Ministry
-Serve as the primary vision caster
-Work with the YMYF leadership team to provide effective ministry to young families within the church
-Develop and implement strategies to expand this ministry and position it for future growth

This person will serve on a pastoral staff with 13 others and report directly to Team Leader of Student Ministries and Senior Pastor.
